Everyday heroes

My dear ex is this week's everyday hero. Mr M single-handedly stopped a drunk (nearly passed out) driver this weekend. He followed him, made him stop and called the police. Then he made sure that the guy couldn't move his car while the police were on their way. Apparently the idiot driver passed out in his car and woke up to find officers pulling him out.

Who knows how many lives he saved by stopping that drunk.
Let's just hope he gets help - alcoholics aren't sexy in general, even less so when getting behind the wheel shitfaced and risking other peoples lifes...

Yesterday I started my home-schooling* regarding the technical secrets behind broadband, home electronics and other things related to my job.
Part one was about the difference between Cat5, Cat5e and Cat 7 cables. So now I know what to look for when pricing "fibre houses" for instance.

Next week we'll go over the basics of WPA or some other funny stuff. Once I'm really deep into it I'll dig into the tricky business of purchasing an Iphone without selling my soul to Telia.

My quest to become a fully enlightened IT-nerd has but started...
